Not just this McDonald's (others, too: North Park is another) have removed the trash cans from the drive-thru lanes (about 2 yrs ago). McDonald's litter has increased throughout the city. Questions: 1) Is there an ordinance requiring the trash cans and where they should be placed? 2) Was this a franchise (local owner[s]) decision or made at corporate-level? 3) Are the two above cited locations owned by the same franchisee? Obviously, the reason was to save money but Mickey D's bags and cups are everywhere. There will always be some litterers, but if there is no convenient place (and what could be more convenient than in the ordering lane?), then many who might not litter will. Granted, they're lazy, but replacing the cans will help. Burger King (Riverside) has a can, drivers use it, and few BK bags are seen on the ground. What can be done to encourage MdD's to restore the cans?

Developers name streets after their kids and pets, or give them names in keeping with the name of the subdivision, and local governemnts just green-light them with no thought about our local heroes. Why not create a list of Veterans, Law Enforcement Officers, and Firefighters from our city that have died during duty and honor them with street names? Surely it would be better to honor our dead heroes than some builder's brat who has done nothing? When the economy returns (and it will because America is a great place) and building begins again, let's have a list in place to avoid Betsy Lane and Kenny's Place and instead have a Corporal McKiski Avenue (for instance) after the Marine who died in Iraq a few years ago. I never met him, but surely he is more deserving of a street name than "Andrea Court," "Fluffybunny Cove," or "Via Serena?"

The sign from N Cherryvale for the Right turn into N-bound Perryville says for drivers to NOT stop. The sign is so far back from the turn lane no one notices and every day traffic backs up for people leaving the mall. Can the sign be re-located to the island where the traffic light is so drivers face it head on? There is a dedicated lane to receive the merging vehicles, so there is no reason to stop - be cautious, yes, but pick up speed and merge.
