At the start of the school year there was a crossing guard at the corner or MLK and Clairmont ave. In that area there are 2 preschools and a public schools that allow for several of the city’s children to go to school. This is a very busy intersection with cars constantly speeding, turning, and dropping off children. For the past week there has been no guard in the morning or the afternoon and it is UNACCEPTABLE! today while crossing the street someone tried to turn on red almost hitting myself, my 4 year old, and the 3 kids running behind me who I was lucky enough to grab before this driver gave US the finger. Please do better by our children!!!! It’s bad enough we have to walk them to school with all the drug dealers/addicts hanging out on that corner, at the very least let’s get the city to ensure there is someone to help them cross the street because today could have went ALOT different!!
