Revisiting Issue ID: 4224008 posted in March. Continued fire hazard unresolved and removed No Permit Sign on the front door, despite beginning construction on the roof.

    Full story:

It appears the owners (bank, Altisource) removed the orange "No Permits" sign that the JC building department posted on the front door. We do not see any permits in the window. They have worked on the 302 1/2 4th St roof while successfully nailing into our new roof and leaving their trash behind, placing it on the top of our roof.

We wanted to check if any permits were pulled for this property. Despite working on the roof, the fire hazard extension has still not been resolved and continues to sit, rot, and pose as a fire/safety hazard for our property.

    Please advise.
    Thank you!

    Hello,

I would like to file a complaint with the city for the construction that is encroaching onto my property. It does not seem there have been permits pulled for this very large extension (see jpeg attachment).

The house is now vacant, went into foreclosure, and is owned by a bank (AltiSource).

We are seeking to file a complaint with the city in order to receive a written copy of the violation; as we would like to enforce action on the bank that currently owns it. However, if the city is able to enforce removal of the illegal construction, that would also be greatly appreciated.

In addition to permits not being pulled, we were told it is a FIRE HAZARD by both surveyor and architect due to the windows facing our property.

    Thank you
