    Dead Hickory Tree fell into Big Branch Stream at 3:30 pm April 28. 30 foot tree broke into sections into stream as well as run-off stream that feeds from Coopers Pond in Eastgate Park. Tree diameter was 2 to 3 feet, but it's broken into chunks of debris.

    Best visual access is behind fence located behind Mike Krumhout's house 4124 Converse. Best equipment access is via feeder stream from the park, accessible fron Quail Hollow Dr. No flooding currently, but plugging up Big Branch will cause future flooding.

    New sidewalk poured within the past month has already cracked. If it is not sealed or replaced, rain will seep into the crack and expand during the winter...making a mess. Thanks for taking care of this; many of us walk the neighborhood and we reply on smooth surfaces. We really appreciate the city's efforts to repair sidewalks in our area.

    Several dead trees in Big Branch that are blocking the entry-side of the culvert that tunnels under Hardimont. Recommend clearing before Hurricane Florence arrives and causes flooding back up stream.

    On Tuesday the 6th, a car traveling on Compton Drive crashed through a protective chain-link fence and fell into Big Branch Creek which travels through a culvert located under Compton Drive (close to intersection with Quail Hollow Drive). The vehicle has been removed but the fence is wadded up in the stream-bed at the exit of the culvert. The fence will collect tree limbs and river debris during a heavy rain if not removed in the next few weeks or so.
