East Pines citizen

  • 104 East Pines Road Savannah, Georgia - Chatham County
I had an open ticket #3038336 and someone closed it saying the issue had been resolved. It HAS NOT been resolved. There continue to be 3 holes in the road at the entrance to East Pines on Oatland Island. My tax dollars payed for a bandaid. The county placed metal sheets over them so people do not fall in as we walk our dogs, and you additionally placed bright cones near them alerting people to the danger, but these holes have NOT been repaired. How are my tax dollars spent? Is it true that the department head gets bonused on NOT spending my tax dollars to make repairs when our roads are in such need of repair? So my tax dollars pay to help an agency civil servant go on vacation instead of my tax dollars being well spent making much needed repairs???

In June, part of the road in front of my house collapsed, creating a sink hole. We were told it was a collapsed sewer line. The county put a heavy piece of sheet metal over the holes, but placement is significantly interfering with drainage. Debris continually gets stuck between the metal and curb. It has been 5 months and the hole still has not been fixed. During the hurricane, I had to go out there with a metal rake and clear the limbs and branches because water was backing up into my yard. This placed me and my property at risk. When will this be fixed???
