There are several dead trees on Canal street here. Two are on the north side. They were some sort of pine trees.

This is an area often used by the homeless to camp out. There's a large collection of junk on grand canal, obstructing the sidewalk and a dandy breeding ground for vermin.

On Canal st, at the location shown, there are two dead pine trees. I reported that they needed watering months ago, over the phone, and was told it,d be taken care of. Now they're dead. 😢

Maybe they could be replanted with something that doesn't need as much water but which won't tear up the sidewalk? Maybe podocarpus?
