Drain at northwest corner of the intersection of Marin and Morgan is visibly clogged, which is causing flooding when it rains.

Replacement of stop sign on Steuben St at Marin

Are building concierge/front desk staff supposed to be provided with (and required to wear) face covering as part of Executive Order 122, or are residential environments deemed exempt? The few times we've been downstairs we've noticed uneven use of masks, and are concerned about what staff has or has not been provided with.

A stop sign that was placed at the west end of Steuben Street by the contractor at the adjacent construction site at Marin and Steuben needs to be adjusted and more permanently affixed into the correct position.

Originally addressed by archived issue #5454826 (https://seeclickfix.com/web_portal/PTzvqioTdUqpwQchKJx1dMyo/issues/5454826) the sign was moved to this higher point at the request of Jersey City officials. However, the sign has since twisted 90 degrees clockwise so it no longer faces the drivers on Steuben it's meant to address; looking at the included photo, it should be facing to the right and the face shouldn't be visible. It's been like this for a few months, and I think it twisted because of strong wind at some point.

Please ask the contractor to rotate the sign back into position AND have them find a way to keep it from twisting back out of position. It would help if they did something like drill a bolt through the pipe and the wood the sign is ultimately mounted onto. Thank you!

Dead rat in the street, on the northbound side of Marin between Steuben and Morgan. The rat is lying on the street side of the yellow impact attenuator that's protecting vehicles from the end of the construction site's cement barrier (the one placed because of the current lack of sidewalk).

It's been there for several days but no one from either construction site (Steuben or 90 Columbus) seems to have noticed or done anything.

It appears that 2 jet fixtures in the Hamilton Park Splash Pad are broken, one in each of the units that looks like this "Team Spray" Vortex brand splash pad feature: https://www.vortex-intl.com/product/108/team-spray-n1

Both missing fixtures are the ones that stop flow to that jet (and increase flow to the others) when stepped on; they're plastic so they probably cracked at some point. One is in the middle of the group on the "east" side (closer to McWilliams) of the splash pad, and the other is the southmost jet on the "west" side (closer to the playground).

It would be great of these could be replaced. Thanks!

I was wondering about the stomping bells on the jungle gym at Angel Ramos Park. Were the parts to stomp on removed for the winter to prevent freeze damage, or for another reason? If it was just to prevent damage, can the pieces be replaced?

decorative lights hanging between poles on Newark are hanging at head level, and at least one bulb is broken
  • 160-176 Morgan Street Jersey City, New Jersey - Downtown
Pedestrian traffic signal at the northeast corner of Morgan and Marin, for pedestrians crossing Marin, is twisted in a way that makes it hard to read when crossing the street. The rest of the pole, including the signal for crossing Morgan, is intact and in the right orientation. It's been like this for months (I keep forgetting/being too busy to report) and I think it was knocked out of position by a large construction vehicle from the nearby site.

There's some kind of sinkhole under the rubber paving surface at the fence around the infant/toddler swings area, near the gate that leads to the 2-5 year old jungle gym. The hole needs to be filled because it might cause an injury.

PSE&G hasn't cleared snow from the sidewalk in front of the Morgan Street Substation
  • 332-350 Marin Boulevard Jersey City, New Jersey - Downtown
Signs are gone again from both crosswalks at the intersection of Marin and Bay. The signs are necessary even if most people don't actually obey them (by stopping for pedestrians not already in the middle of the street), because it brings more awareness to the fact that the crosswalks exist.
  • 332-350 Marin Boulevard Jersey City New Jersey - Downtown
The sign indicating that it's state law to stop for pedestrians within a crosswalk that is normally located in the middle of Marin at the intersection with Bay Street has been knocked down and is lying on the sidewalk.
  • Rail squeal! Archived
160 Morgan Street Jersey City New Jersey - Downtown
Rail squeal coming from the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail line. Issue is occurring on the southbound rail between the Harborside and Harsimus stops where the rail turns on Harborside and 1st Avenue. It's severe enough that I can hear it from near the top of 160 Morgan St, so I can't imagine what it's like for residents who live closer!
