Trails and Pathways Archived5484 Wooded Way Columbia, MD, 21044, USA - ColumbiaThe HoCo easement access to the CA trail system between 5484 and 5481 Wooded Way has seven old wooden pallets that are rotten with rusty nails sticking out. This popular informal path is lower than the residential lots on both sides, and can be very wet and muddy. The pallets gave people an out-of-the-water place to walk for several years, but have now rotted away. Please remove the pallets and raise the grade enough for water to drain instead of accumulating. This confuses some drivers who think the sign applies to both lanes. They wait in the right lane until the light turns, which stops traffic by up to a dozen cars on the exit ramp. Please add a second sign with Right Turn OK On Red Light This Lane to address this issue. Thanks!

Sign and Marking Concern ArchivedCedar Ln Columbia, MD, 21044, USA - ColumbiaEnd of exit ramp from westbound 32 to northbound Cedar Lane has two lanes turning right at traffic light. Right lane of two has no overhead sign and left lane of two has overhead sign with NO TURN ON RED THIS LANE. Many people in the right lane of two assume that the sign applies to both lanes and hold up traffic in the right lane by not turning until light changes, which can take a while. During peak periods this can result in 10 or more vehicles backed up on the exit ramp.
Please install second sign over right lane with RIGHT TURN ON RED OK FROM THIS LANE or something similar. Thanks! -

Many more people (and strollers) use this path than previously, and there is no indication to drivers that pedestrians are crossing the road there. Note - path planners probably thought that people would go out of their way to cross at Dark Fire Way, but they don't.

Have received no response or action more than 9 months after reporting lack of pedestrian crosswalk next to Howard County Hospital walk/jog/bike path.

Request status of pedestrian crosswalk/signal at Little Patuxent Parkway and Cedar Lane. At end of bike/walk path next to HoCo Hospital, there is no pedestrian crosswalk or pedestrian traffic signal to safely cross LPP or Cedar Lane. Have seen several near-misses. Was told by HoCo early in 2018 that this work would be completed in about a year.
