    Someone had a car problem, changed their oil, let it flow all over the streets and left an open container of oil right in the street where somebody’s gonna run over it.

    The entire strip along Woodbine off of Fruitvale needs weed abatement. We do this request annually, and are submitting it early this year, before the weeds are several feet high. This is city property that abuts CalTrans property.

    This area is not on the city's routine maintenance plan and only gets maintained when we request service. This area abuts the exit ramp and is across the street from residences. The weeds get very tall and the seeds blow everywhere into our yards and trash gets thrown in this area--it is also difficult for residents with allergies. It's a relatively small job--a couple of men should only need a half day to do it.

    We'd love to have more than simple weed whacking and removal at some point--such as plastic and wood chips to keep the weeds down, but that has not yet been provided.
