    In 2018 I built a new construction home (R-1, 2 fam) In Jersey City heights. The premise has a typical layout for most residential 2 family homes, but without a garage or front yard parking space.

    Recently I have purchased an electric vehicle which requires a charging station to charge the vehicle for operation. Now my concern is that the premise does not have any form of parking area on the property to install a charging station for the vehicle.

    The closest charging stations is about a mile away from the premise which are privately owned within a mall parking lot and the city owned charging stations are very scarce and typically are far (more than a mile away) from my residence.

    I wanted to know if there is any possibility to have front yard space dedicated to the Electric vehicle on the premise. The setbacks are well sufficient meeting the city code and city boundary, also the current 60% landscaping will be 30% if a front yard space is permitted exclusively for the EV.
