Concerned Neighbor

  • 1422 West Laburnum Avenue Richmond, Virginia - Bellevue
The handicap ramp now sits well below the pavement. This makes it very difficult for a handicap person to use the ramp without getting stuck since the ramp is easily an inch to inch and a half below pavement. This lip also creates a tripping hazard. Lastly this area collects sediment therefore the storm runoff does not drain properly down the gutter to storm inlet. Instead it collects there. It appears that the handicap ramp needs to be raised up.

The Owners of the property adjacent to us, 1420 W. Laburnum Avenue, park their vehicles up on the section between the curb and sidewalk. After years of driving over the same area there is no longer any grass to hold back the earth. The ground has eroded away so much that the water meter sits above the ground. The eroded dirt ends up in front of our house clogging the sidewalk and rendering the handicap ramp unusable. What can be done to correct this because this is lawsuit waiting to happen?
