There is 26 inches of rain water not going down the storm drain. This happens regularly when there are heavy rains. I cannot get in my driveway. This has been reported several times over the last couple of years. Temp fixes are not cutting it. It needs a French drain across the driveways or SOMETHING MOREthan has been done in the past.

The slope of the road overwhelms the storm drains ability to keep up with draining water after most rainstorms. Last summer when Elliott City's Mainstreet flooded, the end of Morning Star had 27 inches of water. I could not drive through it to get to ny house. A more recent storm left 4-5 inches of water. Even minor rainfall leaves 2-3 inches of water. I cannot get to my mailbox without getting water OVER my shoes. The last report was closed with the action that a branch was moved from the drain. If that is all that is going to be done, then please come out after every rain and clear the drain, sweep the 10-15 foot wide standind water down the drain. This is an ongoing problem. It needs a long term solution. PLEASE.

This issue has been reported before but the problem remains. The storm drain is inadequate and frequently debris obstructs the opening. I believe it needs a French drain across the two driveways. It took more than 24 hours to go down. I could not drive through the water and had to park on the street. Something to prevent debris from blocking the storm drain opening would be helpful as well. When there was the major flooding in Ellucott City last year, the standing water at my driveway was 27 inches ( one inch below my neighbor'svretaining wall ). Another storm after that summer, left 12 inches of water which took several hours to go down.today, the standing water was at least 4-5 inches. I cannot get my mail or trash cans without going through the standing water and getting soaked.

    I have additional photos.

The road slopes down to my driveway and collects. There is often two to four inches of standing water. I cannot get to my mailbox without getting soaked. Debris floated down the road and ends up at my driveway and my neighbors at 5031. There have been times when the debris backs up the storm drain and clogs it.

Darrell ? W ho addressed the original problem, saw the water and debris stains from earlier rain. He thought maybe a drain across the driveways might work as they could not patch the asphalt any higher.

Strip of road at end of Morning Star Dr needs to filled in right before driveways. Water collects causing 4-6 inch flooding. Storm drain backs up.
