Playground is littered with trash, which is bad, but even worse is that there are small shards of broken glass everywhere in the play area. This is a newer park and should be available for neighborhood kids, but is unsafe to use in current state.

Massive accumulation of junk in eastern edge of Lafayette Square Park. Pile of trash has been growing for some time and is now out of control. Please clean up the park. This is not an anti-homeless complaint. Everyone should be able to use the park, but the park is not a dumping ground, especially the playground area.

  • 42nd St And Telegraph Ave Oakland, CA - Temescal
Westbound bicycle detector on 42nd St at Telegraph Ave did not recognize properly positioned bicycle at night (approx 7p, 2/9/2016). After waiting through several signal cycles bicyclist had to dangerously dismount bicycle in middle of intersection and walk to corner to press the pedestrian call button. This traffic signal frequently fails to detect bicyclists and needs a sustainable solution.

Parking meter is stealing quarters, not registering added time. We lost $1.

This meter doesn't give you time when you add quarters. Meter number T3919
  • 53rd St And San Pablo oakland, California - Gaskill
Traffic signal does not detect bicycles on eastbound or westbound approach. 53rd St is a signed bicycle route and a popular bike connection between Emeryville and North Oakland. The lack of bicycle detection causes bicyclists to make dangerous maneuvers at the intersection to press awkwardly located pedestrian call buttons. Some bicyclists cross against a red light out of frustration when they realize the light does not detect them. Either situation creates traffic hazards and increases the likelihood of traffic crashes. This light needs to be fixed.
  • Telegraph And 42nd St Oakland, California - Temescal
Both eastbound and westbound bicycle sensors are not working at this intersection. Bicycles should activate an east-west green light, but are not. This is the second time in recent months that the bicycle sensors at this traffic light have stopped working.
  • 601 42nd Street Oakland, California - Longfellow
A crosswalk is needed on the south side of the intersection and the existing crosswalk on the north side of the intersection should be more visible. Cars traveling north and south on MLK routinely fail to yield to pedestrians. The situation is very dangerous and has been getting worse. This intersection is popular with pedestrians walking between Temescal and Longfellow and for access to BART. Please improve this intersection before someone gets hurt.
  • 42nd St And Telegraph Ave Oakland, California - Temescal
The bicycle sensor for eastbound bicycle traffic appears to be broken. Bicycles approaching Telegraph from the west are not triggering an EB/WB phase even when positioned correctly. The walk signal for the N/S crosswalks will count down to zero, but then reset to "walk" and bicycles never get a green light.
  • 12th And Mlk Oakland, CA - Downtown
The street sign for MLK at the SE corner of the intersection is dangling from the pole it is attached to. it looks like it is normally attached with two screws or bolts, but one of them is missing / broken.
