    Mt Auburn between JFK and Putnam Ave has been without road markings (lane divider and bike lane) for months. I reported this issue several months ago and received the following response:

    "Thank you for contacting the Cambridge Traffic, Parking, and Transportation Department. The temporary markings that were installed here in the early winter (post repaving) have failed. We anticipate being able to install permanent markings once the Spring marking season begins towards the end of May/early June. As this work is contracted out, we are waiting for the plants to get back up and running."

    Could I please have an update on the status of this project? The road is mess every day. I bike and drive to work in Central Square and I'm surprised that there aren't more accidents. People don't understand that the lane narrows from two to one and then back to two lanes. The "bike lane" is constantly blocked by construction vehicles, tour buses and cars.

    Someone has dumped an entire bag of dog food at Glacken Field. it will attract rodents. I reported this to Animal Control, but they suggested I contact DPW. it's located near the fence across from the end of Holworthy. thanks!
