  • P Street Northwest Washington, DC 20005, USA - Logan Circle
Every morning, traffic heading around Logan Circle to get to Rhode Island Ave blocks the intersection at Logan and P. As a result, cars heading toward the circle from P get stuck every light cycle from about 8:00 am until around 9:30. This is causing huge backups and making it unsafe for pedestrians in the neighborhood.

People are constantly honking around the entirety of this circle, and 9 times out of 10 it's out of anger, not because of an emergency or out of necessity. As someone who lives in this neighborhood it's very nerve-wracking, particularly in the morning when many of the out-of-state drivers are speeding around the circle, honking at any car that is not driving fast enough for them.

Any way to get bigger "Quiet - Residential Zone" signs, or have some traffic cops around to dissuade people from driving and honking recklessly?

  • George Washington Memorial Pkwy & N Jefferson Davis Hwy Arlington, VA 22202, USA - Arlington
The ramp has two lanes: One for those turning right to cross the Memorial Bridge, and one for those turning left towards Arlington Cemetery. Those coming from 110-N have to merge with those exiting from the GW Parkway, and there is always a huge backup while the left lane remains free and clear. Couldn't the left turn only lane be changed to a left AND right turn lane? Memorial Drive is two lanes anyway, so having two cars turning right at the same time would not be a problem, and it would reduce the ramp backup a ton.
