Sewers, Drainage Archived36 Colonial Ave Albany 12203, United States - Buckingham Lake-CrestwoodI think it is time to clean the sewer lines. 15 years ago we had our main sewer line replaced to remedy roots but it turns out the roots come into our line from the city sewer. Probably didn’t need to have our line done! This I now know because we have to get our line snaked annually. I thought there was something wrong with our new line but we ran a cam down it and saw that the roots are coming in from the city line. Also, we just had our line snaked all the way out to the city line, about a month ago, but the drains are already slow. Could it also be gravel and pothole filler getting into the lines? Or are those separate? Seems like the city used to clean the street weekly but I haven’t seen them come by for more than a month. There is an abandoned glove at the curb in front of my neighbor’s house. It hasn’t moved in more than a month! Please help. Thank you.

What I do know is that a TV has been left curbside, the trash collectors have put a sticker on it indicating that they won't take it and now it has been sitting there for at least two weeks. The driveway has a stop light but the crosswalk does not have pedestrian controls. Motorists with a green may believe green means go despite the presence of pedestrians. One nearly hit me yesterday. Without pedestrian controls, pedestrians have the right of way irrespective of the color of the traffic light, but if motorists don't get that, someone will soon be hit. A similar intersection a block away on Western has both a traffic light for the driveway and pedestrian controls for the sidewalk. Pedestrian controls are needed at this intersection too.
