  • 4972 Vermack Rd Dunwoody, GA, 30338, USA - Dunwoody
There is a manhole (personhole?) in the SB lane on Vermack, just north of Womack. When vehicles go over it, it makes a loud flopping/buckling sound. Something about it is not structurally sound like it is supposed to be.
  • Chamblee Dunwoody Rd & Kent Ave Dunwoody, GA, 30338, USA - Dunwoody
This pertains to the closed and archived Issue ID: 15245788. I tried to find DOT documentation on raised concrete islands and found: https://www.dot.ga.gov/PartnerSmart/DesignManuals/Encroachment/Driveway.pdf
    p. 4-23 A variety of striping is used around the island, whereas barely any paint is being used around the concrete island at this location. Note that I'm unable to determine why the traffic engineer determined that a raised island was needed at all in this location. There is now a middle lane and very clear sightlines in both directions. I don't see any compelling need for this island, but since it is there, it should be more clearly visible, particularly to southbound drivers.
  • Abernathy Rd Sandy Springs, GA, 30328, USA - Sandy Springs
on Abernathy westbound, near Glenlake, there's a floppy metal plate and numerous potholes. These are all hazardous for driving.
  • 4648-4648 Chamblee Dunwoody Rd Dunwoody, GA, 30338, USA - Dunwoody
This isn't really a 'problem', and I'd consider this not urgent--but not expensive or timeconsuming to improve. I often drive southbound on Chamblee Dunwoody and have to make a left onto Kent Avenue. At night, and especially inclement weather, I have to really stare closely to see the entrance (something about the streetlight placement and/or having the entrance to the dilapidated house just north of Kent adds 'visual confusion'). It would be helpful if some bright or reflective paint could be used on the curb going into Kent, particularly the vertical part of the curb, to make the entrance stand out better (more visual 'pop'). I think this would suffice in lieu of additional signage or lighting. For heading north on CD, I think the entrance is more clearly seen, but reflective paint on the other entering curb could not hurt.
  • I-285 W & N Peachtree Rd Dunwoody, GA, 30338, USA - Dunwoody
when driving N. Peachtree southbound, at the intersection with Savoy. Need to make a left to get on 285E. Something in the signalling was changed a few months ago such that there is no green left turn arrow in the normal sequence. Instead there is just a green light, yield to oncoming traffic, and at some random time this turns into a green left turn arrow. But the normal sequence should start with the green left turn arrow.
  • 187-201 Sandy Springs Pl Sandy Springs, GA, 30328, USA - Sandy Springs
I'm not certain that this car is abandoned, but it seems like it is the case, since it is always in the exact same spot in the Kroger parking lot (where red 'x' is). The car is a burgundy subaru 4 door suv. There are no stores in extreme close proximity. There is an after-school bus that drops off right here and this car is in one of the handful of spots that are useful for parents doing pickup. So a sticker and/or tire chalking should help confirm if it is abandoned.
  • 4496-4518 Chamblee Dunwoody Rd Dunwoody, GA, 30338, USA - Dunwoody
There used to be a dedicated left turn lane and two northbound lanes near Goldbergs. Now the left turn lane has been eliminated, and there are only two northbound lanes, one of which is absurdly painted with 'left turn or go straight arrows'. This means it's just an ordinary northbound lane--but now must be used as the replacement for the lost left turn lane. This has created more congestion in the right lane, and more cars that quickly figure out that they are stuck behind people turning into Kroger, thus they perilously change lanes to the right. Why has this road project served to increase traffic and the chance of an accident in this area?
  • Dartford Dr & Tilly Mill Rd Dunwoody, GA, 30338, USA - Dunwoody
a variety of utility cables are sagging low over the sidewalk on Tilly Mill, near Dartford. I almost got clotheslined on my scooter. I'm not sure who is responsible, but the city can likely get quicker response than I could get.
  • 1142-1142 Hammond Dr Sandy Springs, GA, 30328, USA - Sandy Springs
On Hammond westbound, near the 'high street development' but a tad west of that and I think this is 100 yards or so into SS (not Dunwoody), there's a bad pothole in the asphalt, I believe it's the right lane (while heading west). It's pretty obvious since it's a significant sized chunk of top layer asphalt that is missing.
  • Ashford Dunwoody Rd & Ravinia Pkwy Dunwoody, GA, 30346, USA - Dunwoody
Almost every day, I drive Ashford Dunwoody NB and take a left onto Hammond (WB). I've noticed a couple of problems. Today, I saw a van actually make the left turn onto the eastbound lane of Hammond. They were on the wrong side of the road, but luckily traffic was light so I think it ended up ok. But also, there is only one semi-useful 'guiding dashed' line in the intersection to facilitate this turn, but it is not properly arced to facilitate fast traffic flow. It is on the right side of the cars in the left turn lane (and on the left side of the cars in the 2nd left turn lane, the lane on the right. It would help if there was a guiding dashed line on the *left* side of the left turn lane, and it would help further if both were painted to properly arc cars into the turn. Right now, quite a few drivers drive on the 'red arrow', cutting a straight line through the intersection and then holding up traffic behind them because they do not understand that cars cannot quickly cut sharp angled turns around a raised median. The green lines are a better approximation of the path that cars should follow to enable smooth transition onto Hammond westbound.
  • 4611-4623 Chamblee Dunwoody Rd Dunwoody, GA, 30338, USA - Dunwoody
I mention this just to bring to the city's attention; Ideally someone would have thought of this but I guess no one did. I notice that some trees have been planted on the east side of Chamblee Dunwoody in the vicinity of JF&CS. As these trees fill in, they'll make it increasingly dangerous for residents of Dunwoody Green to turn onto Chamblee Dunwoody. It's been really nice having a clear site-line looking south while making our right turns from Kent Ave. It's a shame that this clear sightline will be going away. I suppose that the trees will provide a certain amount of shade to the path, but I'm not sure if this is a good trade-off.
  • 4600-4628 Vermack Rd Dunwoody, GA, 30338, USA - Dunwoody
traffic signal at Vermack southbound, where it hits Chamblee Dunwoody, is short-cycling and only letting about 3 cars through a green light. This will be a disaster tomorrow unless fixed.
  • I-285 W Dunwoody, GA, 30338, USA - Dunwoody
can anyone with the city communicate with GADOT and get them to turn off the worthless metered red/green light on the ramp to 285W at Georgetown? Obviously: this leads to a dedicated lane exiting at Ashford Dunwoody, in which drivers have around 1/2 mile to get in or get out of this lane. The metered light does absolutely nothing to facilitate the flow of traffic on 285W. I've tried and failed to get GADOT to understand this.
  • 4610-4616 N Shallowford Rd Dunwoody, GA, 30338, USA - Dunwoody
can someone cut back the azalea(?) on west side of N. Shallowford, just north of Dunwoody Park? It's in the way and causes a blind spot when trying to make right turn from Dunwoody Park on to N. Shallowford southbound.
  • Dunwoody Park N Dunwoody, GA, 30338, USA - Dunwoody
tree collapsed and is hanging over the street (next to storage container behind JF&CS), which has many leaves and looks sloppy.

pothole in westbound lane of cotillion, Just a tad west of First Baptist Church property, near the woods.
  • 4450-4498 Kensington Pl Dunwoody, GA, 30338, USA - Dunwoody
this pertains to the grass oval, which seems to be 4450 Kensington Place, owned by the URA, essentially the same as the park. Our neighborhood needs a dogdoo bag dispenser with can in this area, as this seems to be the first territory encountered by some nearby dogs. The hope is that bags and can in this area will be used by those walking dogs through here.

4630-4672 Vermack Rd Dunwoody, GA, 30338, USA - Dunwoody
on vermack, southbound lane, by DBH maybe 40-60 feet from the light there is an annoying pothole around 4 or 5' from the curb (right side tires tend to hit it). It has been there a while.
  • 4575 N Shallowford Rd Dunwoody, GA, 30338, USA - Dunwoody
regarding the large, rentable gazebo at Pernoshal park: it's consistently gross looking in this gazebo. It needs pressure washing with a surface cleaner on a regular basis, and most of the tables need sanding and painting because they absorb oils and look nasty.
  • 4611-4623 Chamblee Dunwoody Rd Dunwoody, GA, 30338, USA - Dunwoody
on Chamblee Dunwoody northbound, near the Subway, there's a metal plate in the street and it's not properly covering the hole underneath, causing potential wheel and alignment damage.
