The street light at 510 Tabor is flashing on & off.

My neighbors at 503 Tabor never got sod installed in the ditch in front of their house after the 500 block of Tabor drainage project. Please see the photos below. We have concerns that without the sod, the ditch will continue to erode & eventually damage the street.

Can we please have sod installed in the ditch in front of 503 Tabor?

The owner at 408 Tabor has added fill and gravel in front of their house in the City of Houston right of way and raised the level of the ground. This will cause more rain water to flow from the 400 block of Tabor, North to the 500 block of Tabor. Houses in the 500 block of Tabor flooded on Memorial Day 2015 and during Harvey. The filling of ditches in the 400 block of Tabor will make flooding worse in the 500 block. I previously reported on 311 that a tractor added dirt and filled the ditch that was in front of 408 Tabor in October 2016. The previous 311 service request ID was 156776.

I am a member of Stephen Costello's COH drainage task force. One of the recommendations of the task force was to "Fully enforce all applicable rules to re-establish drainage in the public right of way".

Please address this issue, as I am concerned that more home owners in the 400 block of Tabor may fill in their ditches as well and make flooding in the 500 block of Tabor even worse. Our house is in the 500 block of Tabor it flooded on Memorial Day 2015 and during Harvey.

Recycling did not get picked up, as scheduled in our Brooke Smith subdivision, again....

The Recycling Bins in Brooke Smith, including 506 Tabor, were not emptied on our normal Thursday or on Friday.

The house at 410 Tabor was built without sidewalks. The house next door & the new house at 500 Tabor both have sidewalks. It is a safety hazard not to have sidewalks in front of the house, as it forces pedestrians to walk in the street. Please have this builder construct a sidewalk on Tabor Street.

The house recently built at 410 Tabor does not have and ditches built or any visible provisions for drainage. The 500 block of Tabor has flooded twice recently, on Memorial Day 2015 and during Harvey. Water flows downstream from the 400 block of Tabor to the 500 block of Tabor. Over the years, Our Brooke Smith neighborhood has had problems with our drainage ditches being compromised and filled in. We have worked with council person Cisneros' office on this issue. Please have a COH inspector make sure that proper drainage measures are put in place at 410 Tabor.

The 500 block of Tabor severely flooded again during Harvey. 8 houses in this block were flooded. The storm drains on Tabor ceased to drain & the street & houses filled with water. Other houses were flooded in Brooke Smith as well. We need to have a drainage study performed on our neighborhood.

Harvey Trash Still Not Picked Up in The 500 Block of Tabor

The builder at 500 Tabor has failed to remove the un-permitted and illegally installed covered culvert, as directed by the COH. A neighbor's dog fell in the hole while on a walk and it was up to her neck. This culvert is illegal and is installed incorrectly, so it will not drain. It is a public safety hazard. Please ask the COH permit enforcement division to follow up with the builder and have them remove the illegal covered culvert. We are working with Jonny Flores in council person Karla Cisneros's office on this issue. Please do not close the 311 request before the issue is resolved. Thanks

After 4 1/2 inches of rain this morning, the storm drain in front of our house at 506 Tabor ceased to drain and the ditch began filling up with water. (Please see the attached photo.) I confirmed that the grate was clear. I then checked the storm drain in our alley. The water was about 2 inches below the grate. Under normal circumstances, the water is 15 to 20 feet below the grate in the alley. I believe the storm sewers are under capacity. I also believe the storm drains from North Main Street may be flowing into our storm system and are contributing to the problem. 7 houses flooded in the 500 block of Tabor during the Memorial Day flood of 2015. In 2015, the same thing happened. The storm drain ceased to drain and the street flooded. This has been reported multiple times on 311. Please investigate the storm drain system and capacity. We need a drainage study in Brooke Smith.

The 500 block of Cordell floods every time it rains. The culverts on the street are filled in and are not connected to storm drains. Today we only received 1 inch of rain, but look how much water is left in the street. (Please refer to photo.)

The ditches at the house being constructed at 500 Tabor Street are filled in with dirt. There should be open ditches connected to storm drains on two sides of the property, one on Tabor Street and one on Fugate street. The water on the 500 Tabor should drain from the property into drains in ditches on Fugate & Tabor street. Currently, the water from 500 Tabor is draining into my neighbor's back yard & then into our back yard at 506 Tabor. It is washing dirt & sand into our yard. Our house at 506 Tabor and 5 other houses flooded in May of 2015. I have reported the fact that this property has the ditches filled in previously, but the ditches are still filled in with dirt. The ditches need to be dug out on Tabor & Fugate & the property needs to be graded to drain on the street. I don't need water from this property draining into ours at 506 Tabor, creating more of a flooding problem. I have included a picture of the filled in ditches at 500 Tabor. Please make this builder dig out the ditches on Tabor & Fugate and make them properly grade the property.

There are red lines painted on my grass in front of my house. Why are they there? Are there plans to dig in front if my house? If so can they tunnel instead? I will need my grass and landscaping put back the way it was if there is to be digging. Thanks
