Trash all over alley

No one in our alley appears to have had their trash collected on Tuesday this week. Please give us what we pay for in taxes by making it here twice each week.

Our trash was not collected today in our alley. From what I could see, our neighbors' trash also was not collected.

Trash was not picked up in our alley today - not ours (3542 10th St. NW) or our neighbors' trash. DPW has been getting a bit erratic with trash and recycling collection in the last two months. Then they often respond to my reports by closing them out without actually collecting the missed trash or recycling. (By the way, the app won't even show my address - either on the map or when I try to manually type it in.)

This is a problem property that has been empty and a blight on the community for years. Please make the property owner act responsibly to maintain the property properly.

I put out our recycling a day late (Wednesday) because of the Monday holiday, but it was not collected (whereas our trash was collected). Recycling can is full and is still behind the house in alley with "3542" marked on the container.

Our trash was not collected today, nor does it appear that any of our nearby neighbors' trash was collected based on all the full trash cans I saw in our alley. PS - the last two times I requested a trash pickup after missed collections, I received very unsatisfactory close-out messages after they apparently didn't read the notes and stopped in front of the house instead of the alley behind our house where we leave our cans for collection.

This property has been a nuisance property for years - graffiti, trash, rats and a general blight on the neighborhood that attracts crime- and I have not seen evidence that the city government has taken action to make the property owner fix the problems (or hopefully sell the property to someone who will develop it).

A construction project is blocking one entrance to our alley, and this may be why our trash was not collected today. Please find a solution to pick up our recycling and trash because this construction (masonry) looks like it may take longer than one week.
