    Lane markings are barely visible.
  • I-75 Underpass (Exit 167) @ Pierce Avenue & North Pierce Avenue Macon, Georgia - Macon

Disabled white pickup truck has been sitting off to the right side under the underpass of I-75 N.(Exit 167) @ Pierce Ave. for over 3 weeks with no obvious notices from police for removal. More than enough time has passed for owner to have recovered the truck. How can officers pass by this daily and not address this? Shameful law enforcement neglect!

Maybe it's because the area already looks like a slum area that has been ignored, even though it's been reported several times to several departments and this web site!

Please look at it through visitor's eyes. Does anything about this underpass say "Welcome to Macon"? First impressions are important!!! Is this the "slum" image we want our visitor's to get the impression from?
    Shameful and embarrassing.

Please clean up and improve the area ASAP! Thank you!

Yard debris needs to be picked up,please. It's been waiting 3 weeks for pickup. Thank you!
  • 2466 N. Nancelon Circle @ Thurmond Dr. Macon, Georgia - Macon

This property is occupied, but the yard remains unkept and overgrown. It's an eyesore and health hazard for the whole neighborhood. The picture was taken in June, but it's much worse now with very tall weeds. It's a corner lot, so I'm not sure if the address is on N. Nancelon Circle or Thurmond Dr. (driveway is on Thurmond, but numbers seem to be N. Nancelon).

***The right of way on the undeveloped portions of N. Nancelon is severely overgrown also.

Thank you for your help with this annoying issue!

Grass and weeds need cutting back at the bus stop on Riverside @ Corbin. They are blocking the view exiting Corbin Ave. unto Riverside. Dangerous! Thank you!

Every time it rains, we get ponding on the road in front of this residence. This has been a problem for years. The picture doesn't do it justice. It was taken a couple of days after a heavy rain. It takes a while for it to evaporate.

The ground was so soggy at this residence last week, that it caused a healthy tree in the front yard to uproot and crash into the house, causing major damage.

Seems like an easy fix to just cut a couple of paths to create culverts into the drainage ditch.

  • 812 Corbin Avenue At S. Nancelon Circle Macon, Georgia - Macon

I told GA Power workers about the tree when they were doing their trimming in the area. They ignored this dangerous tree. Cut another across the street, but left the wood on S. Nancelon and Corbin.

The tree has been leaning toward the wires for over a year. I worry about having to travel underneath it everyday. When it goes it's going to take all of the utility lines with it. I can't believe it's lasted this long.

Now the roots are starting to crack the road on Corbin Ave. It appears to be a senior citizen's house,I never see any activity and the car never seems to move.

Please help before someone is hurt or we are left without utilities for the whole area.

  • I-75n Exit 167 Underpass At North Pierce Avenue Macon, Georgia - Macon

Lighting needed in the dark area of the I-75N underpass at N. Pierce Ave. Exit 167. It's dangerous! I almost pulled out in front of a dark colored car about 1:00 PM, turning left from N. Pierce, because I couldn't see them.

Median needs to be cleaned up and painted with metallic paint. So dark, can't see at certain times of day.

Bad design...Who designed this "dark hole tunnel" with no lighting? Atlanta has lighting under their "tunnels", why can't Macon?

I'm REALLY tired of looking at this eye soar at least twice daily, as well as dealing with the other issues previously addressed. Pigeons are roosting under there also. Can't some prison detail be put to work to at least sweep up the loose rocks?

Please expedite before someone gets killed because of the bad lighting issues.

Please look at it through a visitor's eyes. Does anything about this underpass say "Welcome to Macon"?

Dead black cat by the right curb on Pierce Ave between Old Holton Rd. and N. Pierce Circle.heading towards Riverside Dr. as of approximately 11:45 AM, May 7, 2012.

Thank you for your help for this poor kitty!

  • I-75n Underpass (Exit 167) @ N. Pierce Ave. Macon, Georgia - Macon

The new underpass of I-75N Exit 167 (Pierce Ave.) needs major attention!!! It looks like a neglected, blighted, slum area with broken pavement and debris in the median and sidewalk.

The underpass is a dark tunnel that needs to be lit. The pigeon net needs to be replaced for the ones that were removed during construction. The median needs reflecting markers or paint around the edges because it's hard to see in dim light turning left from N. Pierce.

The entrance to N. Pierce Ave. is also slummy looking with debris and gravel in the road and along the newly installed sidewalk. The wooded area also needs attention. The new asphalt pavement is already starting to breakup at the entrance of N. Pierce at the underpass. The transition from the old road to the new asphalt isn't smooth. Very aggravating having to bump over both ends of the new portion twice a day!

The landscape barrier fence taking a right onto Riverside Dr. from the underpass has been breached with red dirt running onto the road.

This exit is a major gateway to Macon and it's an embarrassing site for our visitor's (and locals) to see. It would be nice to see some sort of mural art (with lights highlighting it) depicting Macon along those long walls of the underpass. Making Macon a welcoming site for weary travelers who might want to stay and see more of what our new city has to offer (other than being a pit stop)!

I have spoken to Kimberly Lawson with the Thomaston GA DOT office (706-741-3439) at a public meeting on Jan. 16, 2014 about this issue. However, the problems remain untouched.

I'm not sure what department is in charge here, but I would be very thankful for any attention you can provide to get this matter taken care of and beautify Macon. Thank you..HELP, PLEASE!!!

P.S. Riverview Road bridge needs sidewalk swept of gravel. Other areas of town also need gravel swept up. Thanks!
