Someone doing construction has cut out of the bike path a hole that is eight inches deep and two feet by three feet triangle. This hole is in the bile path. This hole is not marked by a safety cone or anything else. If someone is not noticing it they will fall in and could easily break an ankle. This hole is on the west side of N Great Neck Rd. Va Bch.

Are cars suppose to yield (stop) for pedestrians crossing ( bike trail) on N Great Neck rd.? Many times (especially on weekends) pedestrians and bikers are in the crosswalk and cars fail to stop and whizz by in the second lane (next to them) going 50 miles an hour. This continues to be a dangerous situation. I've never seen this monitored by law enforcement.

There is a large hole approx 10" diameter and a foot deep in the middle of the bike path(on the black top). The hole has an orange cone over it sometimes. It's right on w great neck rd and in front of "Citrus". It has been there for at least 6 weeks. Someone will have a broken leg if they fall into it.
