    Private cars and taxis CONSTANTLY park on 22nd street NW outside of the Ritz Carlton during rush hour despite no parking signs. As a result, this three lane road becomes a one made road. Please enforce the signs and ask the Ritz to use their huge driveway for taxis!

    This intersection's lines were poorly redone a year ago, and now cars block the box all day -- especially during rush hour. This could be easily fixed with some new lane markings. I have issued a 311 complaint about this before, and other motorists have seconded, but this complaint is always closed without any response. THIS IS A SIMPLE PROBLEM WITH A SIMPLE SOLUTION - REPAINT THE LINES. PLEASE DO SOMETHING, DDOT!

    About a year ago, the New Hampshire/22nd/L St intersection was remarked, with new dotted lines painted through the middle of the intersection. Cars consistently interpret these lines as allowing them to block the box -- especially during rush hour, such as from 4:30-6:30 PM. This intersection is a nightmare, but could be easily fixed with some new markings. In the meantime, accidents are likely to happen, not to mention pedestrian safety is a constant concern. I have issued a 311 complaint about this before, and other motorists have seconded the problem, but nothing has been done. I recommend other motorists post comments if you agree with me to encourage DDOT to address this issue before someone gets hurt.
