100% agreed with your comments above. I have discussed this topic with many people over the course of the last year, it is reprehensible how bad our streets are, granted the winter weather of the last two years has been brutal and I realize this takes a major toll on our roads...but at $16K in annual property taxes I shouldn't have to drive through such deplorable conditions. These streets haven been left for so many years that I am sure the cost now to do all of them correctly is out of control. So much of Indian Village looks like it hasn't been resurfaced in over a decade. It's so bad when making a left onto Lexington off of Walnut and then taking Lexington to Mohawk, trying to make the left onto Mohawk is a total disaster there are four large craters in the road filled with water. I think the town has done a nice job with how the downtown looks but the streets are a major necessity.

60% of our taxes go to the board of Ed. The county also gets a decent chunk and the actual town only gets a small amount. Find out the facts before complaining.

thanks for the financial lesson, let's not pretend that the roads haven't been neglected for a long time. Nobody is arguing that the board of education doesn't get a ridiculous amount of our tax dollars, that's a whole other argument for another day.

This section of Lexington was to be paved last Fall, but weather prevented it will be done in Spring 15.
