Description
Everyone on this road goes 40-50MPH all day long because there are NO speed limit signs ANYWHERE for 7miles until the route 29 intersection. Both ways it's crap because people go 15-20MPH under the 55MPH limit CONSTANTLY! PUT SOME SIGNS UP PENNDOT!!!!!!

I contacted PennDOT about this heading North from Bally. Specifically, that single 55mph sign was half covered in a tree and nobody could see it.
PennDOT relocated the sign, but are unwilling to put up any more signs. Here's a quote of what they said:
"Regulations set forth in Section 211.72 (b) of the 67 PA Code, Maximum speed limits established under section 3362 (a) (2) of the vehicle code, 75 Pa. C.S. need not be signed except to indicate the end of a speed limit less than 55 MPH and the beginning of a 55 MPH speed limit, therefore, the existing 55 MPH signing is accurate."
Basically, unsigned road are considered to be 55mph and only need to be signed when the speed limit changes from 55mph. Of course, not many people know this and we get caught going 40mph for miles....
I also asked for the old passing zones to be restored and was told:
"The Department is not in favor of re-establishing the passing zones requested. The Township and Department were both involved in the elimination of the passing zones, which was a result of safety concerns. "
