Description
I live at the corner of Fitzhugh and Sauer and had problems with an open drain issue when our weather is bad. I see the manhole cover at my corner is overflowing, as well. I have a concern that this will flow up into my basement area again, as it did yesterday morning. This is the first time over the years I have experienced overflow into the private basement area.
I would like to note that I am already working on fixing this basement due to damage from a frozen pipe. I have had the floors ripped up, dealt with the insurance company and am lining up workmen to fix this in a clean livable space..
I would find it really annoying to fix all this, all to find this manhole overflow damage this hard work I need to do. I would like this manhole area checked to make sure it can properly flow without affecting neighborhood basements, such as mine. I can send you pictures of the inside drain in my basement. I have more that one, so you can see the damage I am working on repairing.
Thank you for your time.

Thank you for your fast response and the workmen's help on Wednesday. Coming home this evening around 9ish, the area from the street smelled really bad. It smells like sewage and the manhole cover is still covered with extra water. I understand that one of the neighboring houses, 4302 Fitzhugh may have called on Wednesday about this.
I just wanted to let you guys know of the stinky smell.
