I have no idea where they were going. If it had just been once or twice, that would lead me to believe that they are using it out of necessity. However, a couple of times a day, every day, over the course of months makes me think they are using it as their regular route. This is not only disruptive, but unsafe and anxiety producing. As there is a perfectly good four lane public road less than 30 seconds down New Bern Ave from us, I can think of no reason why this is necessary.

Um, yes. To both. Did you even read the post? I don’t have a problem with first responders of any kind using any street that will get them to their destination ASAP. However, in this instance, it seems like personal preference rather than policy that they have made this change. I’m merely letting them know that there are people effected by their choice to disturb a residential street unnecessarily.
