Description

Vehicles speed downhill on NW 201st St. (westward) and make a quick right turn onto 15th Ave. NW, looking to the left but not always to the right. Many vehicles cut the corner too close, almost hitting pedestrians walking from the north on the walkway on 15th Ave NW. I know of three recent incidents, including my own, where a pedestrian was within a few inches of being hit by a vehicle while on the walkway, which is not raised and has no curb. Please take a look at making this intersection safer for pedestrians - a curb, having the homeowner cut the tall bush to increase visibility, stripes, etc. I'm attaching a photo. The vehicle in the photo did stop and look both ways (I blurred the license plate number.) Children wait at this intersection for a school bus in the mornings, too. Please let me know what the city can do to make it safer. Thank you, Leslee Anderson (LKACPA@aol.com)
