Description
I am writing to express my concern about zoning violations from the restaurant at the entered address. The property is zoned B-5. According to the zoning ordinance, a restaurant is not allowed to play music at a volume that is audible outside of the premises. Despite this, I consistently hear the music at a neighboring property between about 9:30 p and 2 a, Wednesday to Saturday. Not only is this an obvious violation of the zoning ordinance, but it is a nuisance to neighbors and a stain on a multi-use property. I have tried calling for noise violations, but the noise ordinance is poorly enforced and much more lenient than the zoning laws. I would appreciate enforcement of the city's regulations. If Richmond hopes to continue growing, the city must be liveable and that means curtailing late night business noise in mixed-use districts. Thanks.
