The Radar was deployed from October 21 thru the morning of November 9th. The data has been removed from the radar sent to the Engineering Department they will respond soon. Sorry for the delay.

I am still hoping to have the speed limit dropped to 25mph on South Emerald Lane. Also, we desperately need a speed radar sign posted immediately due to the increase in traffic from the Chautauqua detour. Thank you. Please consider my request.

We continue to be concerned about the speed of cars traveling on south Emerald Lane. Could I please get an update about our request to drop the speed limit to 25 mph? Also, can you please install a "slow children at play" sign.

There are a number of options for calming traffic that the City could institute. We've traveled a good bit in Europe where small "roundabouts" are placed at all intersections - like large planters. Drivers have to slow down to safely navigate around the mini-roundabout. Bumpouts on alternate sides of the street can also squeeze traffic so drivers have to slow down. We have speed bumps on our street but I don't think they're as satisfactory as mini-roundabouts or bumpoutsbecause the warning striping wears off so cars that approach too fast can damage their undercarriage and cause crashing noise that disturbs residents. I've seen lovely planters as mini-roundabouts, though they have to be tended to keep the flowers going. If you google "traffic calming devices" and look at images, you can see a lot of creative solutions to this problem. It's all over town - not just Emerald Lane. Any straight street... I wish the City would take this seriously and develop a plan to address it. It would greatly enhance our quality of life.
