Description

Nearly every time that I am at Safeway/Rite Aid, I see cars using a clearly marked crosswalk to shortcut from one part of the parking lo the other. The crosswalk starts at the doors of Rite Aid, crosses the "road" and runs between two handicapped spaces. Several months ago I was nearly hit by a SUV as I walked between the two handicapped spots, in the crosswalk. After nearly hitting me, the driver then started screaming and swearing at me. In the picture below, the little black car was in front of me until it zipped through the crosswalk to get to a parking spot in the next lane. I went the long way around and still managed to get an empty parking spot right next to his. This needs to stop before someone gets hurt.
