Description
Please do something (again) about the unsightly rental property at 2925 Ridgelock Ct. The most recent renters have left an entire front curb of un-bagged trash when they moved out on the 15th. There is trash blowing all over the street which gets worse with ever breeze or rainfall. There is furniture, mattresses & other large household items that will not be picked up until the landlord does something about it & schedules the proper pick-up with the city. There are lose tires laying in the driveway, filling with water as well as large open trash cans without lids. Trash is piled up on both sides of the house, outside of the garage and the driveway itself. The landlords name is Jang Kyoung Wook & their address is 1691 Brandywine Ct. Atlanta 30338. Can someone please explain to them to be a landlord they have to upkeep the property and this includes cutting the grass in the Summer. The city has been to this house previously for code violations as well as the police. Please HELP this makes the entire street look like a slum!!!!

Per Dunwoody City Code:
Sec. 8-86. Maintenance of proper sanitary conditions on premises required; procedures; enforcement.permanent link to this piece of content:
A-Every person, whether owner, tenant, agent, or employee owning, holding, or occupying property in the city shall, at all times, maintain the property, whether a vacant lot or otherwise, in a clean and sanitary condition, keeping all weeds cut and wastepaper, trash and other rubbish of every sort cleaned off of the property. Said duty to maintain property in a clean and sanitary condition shall include the duty to cut and remove undergrowth, such as kudzu, briars, weeds in excess of ten inches in height, honeysuckle, other vines and seedlings, whenever such undergrowth becomes a nuisance to persons residing in the area or operating businesses in the area. If such undergrowth exists upon an unimproved lot, the community development director may reduce the extent to which the property must be maintained in such condition, provided there are no imminent threats to public health and safety.
B-It shall be the duty of the community development director or a designee thereof to give five days' written notice, by certified mail, return receipt requested, and take reasonable steps to deliver in person to any owner of property or other person violating this section to appear before the city council to show cause why these provisions have not been complied with. In addition, the community development director or a designee shall immediately post a notification upon the property in violation of this section in order to provide visual notification to property owners for a period of five consecutive days.
These are the city codes PLEASE ENFORCE THEM!!! Tenets moved out on the 15th. Landlord was given 16 days until this was filed on the 30th to get the mess cleaned up in a timely manner. Landlord refuses to call for trash to be picked up or clean up yard/house due to dispute with moved out tenets. Today makes ONE MONTH the trash has sat there without pick up. Today also makes one week it has sat there since this was filed with the city & received no real help. Just how long will the city allow this to continue?!?! My next step will be weekly time stamped pictures to prove this is not being taken care of by either the landlord or the city in a timely manner. Week one & counting Dunwoody................................................................

Stalling Tactics? (Guest)
Thanks Tom, no offense to you but I will only believe it when I see the proof. DeKalb says they pick the stuff up within 5 days of scheduling and you also say it will be picked up this week after your talk with her. So if this stuff is still there next Tuesday, I hope you are ready to write some tickets since you were nice enough to give them a verbal warning this time around. Needless to say I am unsympathetic to their problems or excuses since I have had to endure their tenants for over 2 years, call the city about the state of the house & yard in the past and not to mention the police several times. Meanwhile the landlord lives minutes away from the property, in the same city & are all but clueless to these issues that could simply be taken care of by checking on their property more often.
Having the stuff hauled off from the street does nothing to alleviate the other numerous violations, such as the trash & tires in the driveway and the junk on the sides of the house. Including a camper top & a large dog kennel now so covered in yard debris it’s almost unrecognizable & the same goes for all the other trash on the property. Much less the unkempt state of both the front & back yards. So we will both “continue to monitor for compliance” as I am sick & tired of dealing with these issues and having my property value, much less my quality of life, affected in this manner! Thanks again Tom, all your help is greatly appreciated.
