Description
Cars come at a high speed thru this turn, some jump the curb. This is the walkway past the mall parking entrance and across the bridge. There's no protection for pedestrians. This location needs a heavy duty guard rail at the bridge and a yield sign at the mall entrance.

As much as I agree with Kelly, I don't think this issue can be solved by guard rails or anything that Public Works could do. It's really an issue of driver training and enforcement. The turn is greater than 90°, the support columns for the highway create a blind turn and the one-way, two-lane nature of the road says "GO GO GO!"
One technique that's proven to work in situations like this is a dedicated enforcement effort - that is, a police presence that sends the message, "Slow the hell down!" Do that on morning rush hours for a few days, and drivers will get the message that it's not a safe place to be unsafe.
