Description
The signs in the area state there are street sweeping, at least you can be ticked for this - however you would not know it looking at this array that has been here for months. Someone is apparently living in the RV as well - do they drive AROUND the trash? Who knows? Original wet garbage as well so have to assume that vermin are enjoying this food source as well.
What message are the business owners and citizens in this area suppose to conclude from this?

Here's the 2012 Infrastructure Report Card for the PWA from the former director. This doesn't cover illegal dumping, but you will see we desperately need funds. There is only so much money and it is not enough. Obviously, we need more state and federal funds.

Illegal dumping is uncommon in Rockridge. Perhaps because there are more owners vs. tenants. If street sweeping was not being done there, the neighborhood would complain loudly. Having strong neighborhood organizations that are invested in the community helps. We need to stop dumping on our own city and expect others to clean up after us and we need to deter and prosecute illegal dumpers who think they can dump things like 21 tires, construction debris and truckloads of other trash on our streets with impugnity. Oakland residents are dumping U-Hauls full of crap on Oakland streets instead of taking it to the dump in San Leandro. We plant trees and idiots go around snapping them off. We clean up graffiti and there is more the next day.
