Has anyone ever tried to take a left while the high school is getting out or beginning. It is barely possible and extremely dangerous. People do not let you out and actually seem to speed up to prevent it. Even if it was a timed stop light that only went on during high traffic times, it would make the flow of traffic much more manageable.
