agreed, one neighbor fell because of the issue and was taken to the hospital, maybe they can call our jobs and confirm they didn't plow like they should!!
To BS, really, do you live on this road? the people that live on it did the shoveling, and I have pictures dated and time stamped to show that 1-2 days later there still was no plow....
I agree, we had to call the boro several times, to which they replied it isn't a primary concern... and would hang up!! While I understand the numerous snow storms have caught the area off guard, the fact remains that if they cannot do it efficiently on their own, with their own crews, maybe they need to look into alternative means to clear the 650 plus miles of roads they said they have to cover. The 3 or 4 trucks they have are not enough to cover the area effectively. While this road is just one example of the many problems areas, when it has come to plowing, maybe it is a good example for the town to reasses the needs of the residents during the bad weather, and for school purposes as well, for those who have to walk in the areas that they have not been able to plow open
No I don't live on that street, but I do have first hand knowledge that your statement is not true. That's usually one of the first roads that gets done after the snow emergency routes at least one or two passes so you can get to work in your little cubicle.
If i worked in a cubicle, it wouldn't be a big deal. Regardless of the road being plowed or not, I still report to work. It was over 24 hours before a plow was seen on the road, and yes i do live on the road, and I was out shoveling the road open enough to get out to go to work.....
So please get your facts straight, butler is not a snow emergency route, call the boro, they will confirm, it is classified as a side street and secondary priority.
Wow BS, you really seem to know it all, are you one of the plow guys that when they attempted to plow the road, it was too tall for their little truck, and had to call for help to get them unstuck? And that was at 12 in the afternoon..... the first time they even ventured into the area. I can still provide pictures to prove this as well, pictures are great proof of the lack of work done to the road
So now noon the day the storm ended is "days after the storm," and we agree that Butler is a secondary street. So what's he problem. Good for you for getting your shovels out, but you are still wrong to condemn the Boro workers after one bad snow storm. I'm glad you were able to admit they were there by noon though, which would be actually the day of the storm, not days later.
