Are there any plans to address the consistent congestion in this area? Thanks
Reported from my mobile device
They will be done around 2015
It will get worse!!
It is going to get worse before it gets better!
Upcoming construction on the NORTH TARRANT EXPRESSWAY (820) will impact the entire area from I-35 to the NorthEast Mall. When that intersection is repaired then the Haltom Road construction will delay you, then the Denton Hwy, then Rufe Snow etc etc. The traffic on 820 is expected to drop off the freeway onto surface streets during the construction period as people seek new ways to avoid the delays. You can expect Broadway and all roads leading to it to take a lot more traffic. Same with Western Center.
Then the good news!?
Those BIG vacant acreage tracts East of Beach and 820 both North and South will one day
develop. That means only one thing, more traffic!!!
Every citizen of NorthEast Tarrant County should support public transportation. If you don't pay for it those taxes, then you pay for it in higher gasoline and car maintenance costs. More importantly you will pay for it in your personal lost time. Isn't that the most valuable thing you have? Time?
The North Texas Council of Governments' (NTCOG) transportation page has lots of data for you to consider. http://www.nctcog.org/trans/
Good luck and happy idling !!
