Gee here is a thought why don't you take a shovel and shovel it out. Unless you are physically unable to of course. I many years ago lived on cedar street in kingston and i shoveled out most of the hydrants on the block even though none of them were in front of my house.
i have a fire hydrant across the street from my house .... i shovel it. so why can't you or any of your neighbors get a shovel and help out? im failing to see the problem here besides you.
where are the city workers? this is there job also. now if the fire dept. neds to get to them they cant . somebody must realize that they have to be cleared. i have a fire hydrant in front of my house i keep it cleared every time it snows , it is not that hard to do.
you wanna know where they are? LAID OFF!!!! if you wanna complain, then i suggest calling up the mayor because he's the one that "listened" to the taxpayers complain about a 5% increase in taxes. so, many more dpw workers either opted for early retirement or got laid off. this is part of sottiles "its not business as usual" rhetoric. don't forget .... this is what the "people" wanted. reap what you sew.
