As previously posted, we did discuss this issue with the developer. The fence is to be pulled back so that pedestrians do not have to go onto the road.

As the mother of an almost 3 year old and 10 month old, I take this route often to get to the community center and shopping centers. Unfortunately, this summer and fall with all the construction I have mainly opted to drive. It is very difficult and bumpy to navigate the stroller and preschooler (who is either walking or riding his bike) from the pathway to the roadway and back. The orange pylons on the road do not provide enough walking space and the pavement abruptly ends leaving a gravel hill to navigate down onto the road.

I've reviewed the archived issue and do not see that response, thank you for adding it here, what is the expected timeline for addressing this?

It is unfortunate that a whole year since the project started there is still not a safe way to walk down Ewen. This highlighted by the cut to bus service and the huge increase in truck traffic at Griff's Lumber. It would seem that Queensborough is a not a priority for the city.

I agree. I walk my daughter from Port Royal to the Merseyside Montessori House preschool every day and am nervous with my daughter riding her bike and me pushing the stroller with my younger daughter in it. I would love to see this resolved!

When should we expect to see the changes? I have a 3 year old and a 4 & 1/2 year old and we also walk along Ewen Street to go to Merseyside Montessori Preschool. It is very unsafe for the kids to be walking along such a busy, narrow street. Especially since the semi-trucks love to race down that path. Please have this matter resolved immediately for everyone's safety. Thank you.

Agreeing with all above comments, and please have this resolved immediately. It's extremely unsafe, especially with the fog in early morning and with shorter daylight.

While I appreciate that this issue has been previously discussed with the developer and they have been given instructions to 'pull the fence back', clearly they have not done this. And clearly this is still an issue, and so on and so on. Are we waiting for our neighbours to get out there and do this? The developer has not responded to the directions they've been given, so perhaps someone at the City has to speak to them again or simply come over here and fix the problem.

Is there any update on the status of this, has the city heard anything back from the developer?

We are continuing discussions with the developer to try and get a firm date.

Is there an update? I can't imagine pushing a construction fence back taking this long to do.

I would like to reinforce Jamie's request for an update on the actions taken by the city to date I.e. providing the action required and a deadline If there has been no response from the developer, what this the alternative? Will the city step in and make our sidewalk safe ? I am frustrated because there are now posts up by the dips in the path that make it even more difficult to navigate my stroller. It seems to be getting worse and I see crews on site working everyday building foundations for new homes. I am not sure why they can't move the fence? An update would be greatly appreciated please.

There is a crew out dong work with a bobcat along the sides of the sidewalk today, can we expect that thy will fix this issue with the construction fencing?

We have been meeting with Aragon to expedite the opening of the sidewalk at their site and expect the issue will be resolved by next week. We apologize for the delay!
