A few months ago (maybe a year even) there was a crew working on the center columns holding up 93 at Rt 16, right at the lights before Mystic and Harvard. They erased the breakdown lane since they were working on the inside lane. However when the issue was fixed, the breakdown lane wasn't repainted so now to someone coming from the Meadow Glenn Mall towards Somerville, it looks like theres actually 3 lanes at that light. I'm a Medford resident for 7 years now so I know better and know to stay where the lane should be. However, i have watched countless near misses in the last year with people thinking theres 3 lanes, realizing at the last second that theres only two lanes and trying to merge back in and then jamming on their brakes since they now see that the light's red. It gets worse during the winter with an icy intersection. Its also dangerous for people such as myself who need to take a right onto Mystic since you now have to watch for the guy who thinks its an open lane on the right and comes barreling at you. Its a gallon of paint, PLEASE repaint this.
