Huge, dying tree on NW side of Tunxis Road. Directly across from Wood Pond Road. It's the one that's tilted at a 45 degree angle and hangs completely over the intersection and also a house. Several extra-large, rotted limbs have fallen off in the last few years. More than half the trunk has lost all of its bark. It's time to take it down before it falls on its own and takes one or more lives with it! Not to mention destroying the sidewalk, roadside, utility poles, & power lines too. I believe that the Buena Vista Golf Course owns the tree. It may be the town's responsibility to remove it though, because the sidewalk detours around it only inches away.
