Description

I have complained multiple times about loading taking place before 7:00 a.m. at the loading dock at the 900 N. Block of Kingsbury that is part of the 600 W. Chicago building. There is both general loading and unloading of materials as well as what the photo shows which is mechanical equipment being used to unload large trucks. These trucks arrive as early as before 5:00 a..m. and line the street with their large engines idling which is audible inside the homes on the street. The noise generated from the loading and unloading is a nuisance and in violation of 11-4-2830. Additonally, there is construciton/dumping noise coming out of the loading dock that should not take place prior to 8:00 a.m. I have complained to the building and owner of the builiding, called 311 and filed a separate report on the 311 site. I've also tried to contact Alderman Burnett several times with no response. I've also tried to speak to the drivers and contacted the companies they represent but the issue continues every morning. They need to be fined and signage needs to be added to clearly indicate the loading/unloading and construction hours.
