I previously reported the condition of the grease dumpster and solid waste dumpster storage in the municiple lot behind Timothy O'malley's ....... the area is still a disgusting s#$%hole and nothing has been done . I looked for the original report an▶Acknowledged
I first went to Ted’s Coney Island – the owner was not in but the guy in charge, at my request, had another employee come out to look at the grease pit area and to do some cleanup around it. He cleaned up most of the stuff that was not frozen to the ground.
I then went to O’Malley’s and spoke to the owner. She states that Ted’s is the primary user of the pit but that they do use it. She stated that she would get with Ted’s owner to discuss the possibility of getting a larger pit or having more frequent pickups.
Although they put up a sign telling the public not to use the dumpsters people frequently throw stuff over the walls. There was an exterior door from somewhere that had been tossed in the enclosure.
I left my card for the owner of Ted’s to give me a call as well.
I am sharing this info with another city employee as well because he is dealing with similar situations in other areas of the DDA.
