Prince Albert is a very beautiful city, why do some treat it like a garbage dump and throw garbage everywhere and also why is it not cleaned up?

I was part of a service club that did some cleaning along the Riverbank one year. Doesn't matter where you walk or drive throughout the city, there seems to be endless McDonald's bags or Tim Horton's cups or even diapers left in the middle of the street or in a parking lot.
Maybe more service club and schools could do clean up throughtout the city.
Maybe some "work for welfare" reform would be in order too. Heaven forbid that these recepients would get off there arses and do something like that to get there monthly cheque.
Why should the city have to pay a crew of 1 person working and 5 standing around "supervising"? Waste of money that way.

how about going to the east end rink or south hill mall to get rid of your paper and cardboard, and its full of garbage, windshields, couches, exercise equipment, etc etc
we have to pay for that you know...thats part of our 10 percent tax increase! have a little respect for the people that accually do want to recycle and dispose of it properly! Or how about starting to CHARGE people for doing this!
People throw garbage out everywhere around the city, no respect for anyone, or anyone that takes pride of where they live

that seems to be the problem in this city. Alot of people have this attitude that if it isnt in my backyard it doesnt matter. Or they have "its just PA" type attitude rather than trying to fix it. It doesnt take someone to point a finger and say "if your going to complain about it, then do something", it takes more than that. It takes all of us a a whole to stand up and say we arnt going to put up with this anymore. It takes us all to quit throwing garbage out the window (because we see others doing it). It takes someone to report someone disposing of garbage illegally, rather than just watching. It takes a attitude change and people really wanting PA to change.
Alot of the people that do this kind of thing feel unconfortable around others that dont like this stuff happening. If they feel unconfortable, then they wont feel like hanging around here, and living here. But along with a attitude change, it takes city hall to step up and inforce the bylaws in place to prevent this kind of thing.
Lets do this, but it takes powers higher up to start the ball rolling.

local tourist....your not getting the point
I for one want to see the entire city go to roll-out toters
The large rear lane containers are just a target for "wannabe gangs" for fires, spray painting, knocking over, and for rental property to fill up (in and around) with old matresses, love seats, and entire home furnishings when they leave...why is 3/4 of the city converted, and parts of the midtown area still rear lane?...I realize its more time efficent to stick with the rear lane pickup, but I would much rather have my tax dollars going towards the roll-out toters for garbage and cardboard (recycle).
