Every time this problem seems to get fixed it ends up rearing it's ugly head again. There needs to be a permanent solution such as banning these trucks from this street. Besides blocking the street and idling in the very early AM they have damaged street lights, traffic signs, sidewalks, caused sinkholes in the street, hit parked cars and have left a foul odor from what ever food is defrosting inside and is draining into the street. We have contacted city hall, our councilman, ward leader, police, civic association, etc, etc and the problem still persists.

If a bus, large commercial truck or construction equipment is observed to be running its engine while stationary, please contact the Air Management Services Unit at 215-685-7580.
For all other vehicles, (cars, pickup trucks, vans, motorcycles, etc.), please report them to the Police Department at 911.
Please report it to the Police, so that they can come out and issue a ticket for blocking the street. Thank you. (mb)

Air Management wants specific times and for you to meet them outside at 3am ? Useless
Most of the time the police do nothing.
AGAIN we need a permanent solution where the residents aren't woken up by this and they don't have to get out of bed every time to call a city agency at 2, 3 or 4 am !!!!

Last night at 12:30 am a tractor trailer ran over and destroyed a cement barrier meant to stop trucks from knocking down the street light. Police were called but drove by and didn't do anything. There are huge pieces on concrete in the street between 4th and Lawrence street on Vine.
