Two of the three bollards have been replaced, but not having the third bollard puts the valve at risk. The original damage came from a car hitting the valve from the rear, which is the side that is missing the bollard. When this was originally damaged, the nearby business had to cover the cost of the repair to the plumbing and go without water for days. Please do not leave them at risk and without proper protection. This has been open for months.

It seems the City has packed up and moved on from this issue. Two bollards are in place now, but it originally had three bollards. The missing bollard was placed on the most vulnerable; the side in which the original damage was incurred. Also, is there a reason the bollards are barely 2 feet tall and painted black? If you are parking or driving near these (especially at night), they are impossible to see.

Guess what? Someone hit the valve again and it is leaking. They would not have been able to hit the valve if the city had replaced the bollard that was mentioned in the previous comment. PLEASE replace the bollards with ones that A) are not painted black and B) are taller than 24" so that you can see them from inside a vehicle
