Description
there are too many traffic lights between darby road and the monoa shopping center. they are not synced and are working 2 to 5 am in the morning. they cause traffic jams and waste gas because of the jammed traffic. also when a light is green, the next light id red. Havertown, fix this.

This isn't a Havertown issue. West Chester Pike is a state road.

The traffic lights are necessary because they let people get out of those neighborhoods safely and easily. There are no major traffic jams caused by these lights. You need to be patient and allow for extra time when traveling this route. How would you like it if you were held up in your neighborhood because there weren't any lights to stop traffic and let you out!

Yea, so I can't go 90 mph!!!!! They should get rid of all lights so I can speed all day and night.

What should happen is that the very right hand lane right before you hop on the Northbound entrance on the blue route should not have to stop at the red right. It should just merge onto the 476 on ramp allowing more cars to get down the pike and onto the blue route faster.

I find the opposite to be true: that whole area needs more traffic calming measures and lower speeds, to encourage motorists not to tailgate, causing both traffic jams, and the phalanx effect.
