Description

This house has been empty for years. It's falling apart, and now has a large tree branch on the roof. I believe this property is a public safety issue.

I think some renters moved out of this house after the 2011 tornado, and no one ever moved back in. The grass was recently mowed for the first time in months.

The property owner was charged with a lien for nuisance abatement last month. Hopefully progress soon? The number of nuisance properties in our district is appalling and out numbers other districts:(

Thanks for reporting. I have referred this to the City’s Housing and Environmental Inspections Division. When the inspectors have had a chance to investigate I will post an update.

Housing and Environmental Inspections has responded. The Inspector has confirmed the violations cleared and the case was closed on 8/8/13. Property was abated by the City of Raleigh. Thank you.
