Good day,
Our crews are diligently working to provide service to our residents. Please continue to leave your debris at the curb outside the water flow line until it is collected.
In order to help our crews and ensure your yard debris is collected, please follow these five steps:
1. Tree limbs, measuring up to 4 feet long and 6 inches in diameter, will be collected in piles not exceeding 4x4x4 feet.
2. Leaves and grass should be in clear plastic bags, weighing no more than 25 pounds each.
3. Please place yard debris at the curb, free of obstructions such as overhead wires, cable boxes, tree limbs, vehicles, etc...Leave 3 feet of clearance in all directions.
For larger amounts of yard debris, yard waste containers are available for rent. Please call Waste Management to schedule a delivery.
The Virginia Beach Landfill and Resource Recovery Center, located at 1989 Jake Sears Road, is available to Virginia Beach residents for a wide range of recycling and disposal needs. Hours of operation are 7 am to 4:30 pm Tuesday through Saturday.
I hope this information is helpful. Feel free to contact us at 385-4650, Monday through Friday 8am, - 5pm. If you have additional questions or concerns or visit www.vbgov.com/wastemgt
