Description

Concrete slab of sidewalk is raised up about an inch higher than the adjacent slab. Also the grate around the tree is raised up limiting option to avoid the primary issue, the sidewalk.
On the far left corner there is some fade pink spray paint markings. From that, one might think someone attempted to warn people. Also as you can see in the photo the slab has been “shaved” down some in attempt to level it with the adjacent sidewalk slab. One might assume such large equipment will be operated by the city.

several weeks ago, I tripped at this very location. The city denied my claim stating the issue had not been previously reported. However the evidence in my post picture and submit it with my claim seems to indicate otherwise. Even if the repair attempt was made a year or two ago, that would seem to indicate city was aware of the problem.
One added note, even after submitting my claim it still was not reported by the city the appropriate city department.
