Description
A four way stop sign is needed and would improve safety on Sinclair Drive at Bivens Drive. This would make the intersection a four way stop instead of a traditional two way stop. As you drive down Sinclair toward Bivens, approaching from the US 401 direction, you drive downhill and must ride the brake in order to maintain the posted neighborhood speed. Many drivers do not slow down to the neighborhood speed. As a result when you are turning from Bivens onto Sinclair, there will often be a driver coming down Sinclair who is immediately behind you due to the speed at which cars are coming down Sinclair. There is also a short line of sight distance from the Bivens approach due to the curve of the road which means that looking vigilantly before turning off Bivens is not the solution. A four way stop would certainly improve safety in this neighborhood and be a minimal cost to the city/dot.
